How to claim, step by step

  1. Make sure everyone is safe

Check for injuries and call emergency services if needed. Move to a safe place and switch on hazards. Do not admit fault at the scene.

  2. Report to the police within 24 hours

For any accident, theft, or hijacking, report to the police and get a case (SAPS) reference number. You will need it to lodge the claim.

  3. Gather the details

Take photos of the damage and the scene, and note the other driver’s name, ID, contact, vehicle registration, and insurer, plus any witnesses.

  4. Lodge your claim

Submit online, on the app, or on WhatsApp within 30 days. Have your policy number and the police case number ready.

  5. Vehicle assessment

An assessor inspects the vehicle, or you upload photos. We confirm cover and approve the repair or declare a write-off.

  6. Repair or settlement

An approved panel-beater carries out repairs, or we settle in cash for a total loss or theft. Your excess is payable at this point.

What you will need

  • Policy number
  • Driver’s licence
  • Police (SAPS) case number
  • Photos of the damage / scene
  • Other party’s details
  • Your banking details
What happens next: We acknowledge your claim within 24 hours. Assessment is usually completed in 1–2 business days, and approved repairs are authorised within 3–5 business days. You can track every step online.
